New Priest Card for Curse of Naxxramas – Dark Cultist

It’s Wednesday evening/Thursday morning which means Blizzard reveals another class card for Curse of Naxxramas. This week is the Priest’s turn, with its new minion: the Dark Cultist.
Dark Cultist will give the Priest a nice early drop for 3 mana, and a 3 attack/4 health minion is nothing to sneeze at. Add in its Deathrattle ability, which will grant a friendly minion +3 health upon the Cultist’s death, and you have a decent little threat on the board. Unfortunately, the card really doesn’t seem to be as powerful as some of the others that have been revealed for other classes, as the Deathrattle ability is really easy to play around; it becomes worthless if the Cultist is the Priest’s last creature on the board.
This is the 8th class card out of 9 that have been revealed now. Next week will surely be the Hunter and maybe after that we’ll start hearing some new updates about the Curse of Naxxramas. I mean, it shouldn’t be any coincidence that the final class card will get revealed on the same week as the first day of summer and Curse of Naxxramas is scheduled for this summer, right?

I really liked it. I closes the 3-drop gap and it stands on its on even without the deathrattle. A decend 2 drop would be better, but this is actually really good, nothing game-changing but stable.
