Team IHU: Twitter | Website Sponsored by: Kinguin – Waypoint Get Coaching from Team IHU: http://ihearthu.com/coaching This week’s Deck of the Week is none other than the very popular Ramp Druid that has been all over the ladder this week. Popularized by Fr0zen, this ramp deck doesn’t play the Force of Nature / Savage Roar combo but instead plays a lot of high value minions and draw power. This deck is meant to keep up with the heavy card advantage decks while playing lots of early removal to combat the aggro decks. Watch out for this one, because this has become quite the popular deck on ladder and for good reason.

This week, we’re going to look at a slightly modified version of Xixo’s Zoo deck. This Zoo deck was able to achieve #1 legend on NA, EU and the Asia server. This deck’s incredibly good at putting on board pressure early and has a great recovery mechanic in the form of Imp-losion. Due to recent metagame shifts and the huge upswing Big Game Hunter’s popularity, some changes were made because Sea Giant loses a lot of strength if it’s your only Big Game Hunter target.

Warrior gained another tool to fight back against the aggressive decks, some decks which were almost non-existent in the metagame are now top competitors, like Paladin and Mage. We also now have access to Dr. Boom, a new staple in control and midrange strategies, but we always start by looking at the most successful strategies. One of the most dominant decks on the new ladder has been the dreaded Hunter deck. Hunter gained access to a bunch of new cards, but the

Today we will look at Kolento’s Warrior deck from Dreamhack Winter. This Warrior deck was tuned to absolutely destroy aggro decks – which were the most popular archetype in the entire tournament. Most players brought both Zoo and Hunter, so he was able to withstand the aggression as well as use his ban on other strategies, like Handlock or Shaman. I will go as far as saying that the Warrior deck Kolento brought to the tournament was essential

The deck contains the core miracle cards but utilizes some old school combos to finish off the opponent. This makes the deck more explosive and gives it more win conditions when you do not have Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Hope you enjoy it! Deck List 2x Backstab: The bread and butter card of the Rogue Class. A cheap removal of 0 mana that helps to set up combos as well as gain

This week we will look at  a pretty standard hunter list that is being used in the meta game. The deck consists of extremely aggresive play to kill the enemy before they can execute their own gameplan. The deck has no real hard counters because of Hunter’s ability to draw really consistent strong hands.  Deck List 1x Hunter’s Mark: A good tempo card to get through the enemies taunts or big threats. Only one is used to increase the chances of having a better curve to maintain momentum. Has great

WHAT WOULD DKMR DO? #18

Team DKMR: Twitter | Website | Forums Sponsored by: Gunnar – 2P – Waypoint Written by Varranis Welcome to this week’s “What Would DKMR Do?” Each week we’ll present an in-game situation and discuss the possible lines of play. Here’s the scenario for this week: We’re in a relatively advantaged position in this game and have several options. Let’s see how you decided to progress this game. Paul said: “I would play Blademaster, heal him for a card, and probably pass.” This play betters your board presence and card advantage and keeps a Northshire Cleric for later. Ciaranirl, Peter Thorne, and Maroon5five would make the same play, but they would also play the second Northshire Cleric in order to draw two cards. This play gives you an extra card, but makes you particularly susceptible to Lightning Storm. Stolen Prayers would: “I’d probably cast Holy Fire and trade the Northshire Clecric and play the second Northshire Cleric.” This play ensures the

Here’s the scenario for this week: In this scenario, we’re a Warrior with a lot of options looking to survive against our menacing Hunter opponent. How would you stay alive while setting up for lethal? Paul and Aanvil would: “Play Sylvanas Windrunner and pass.” This play progresses our board in a big way and limits what our opponent can do with Eaglehorn Bow. Matheus Revoredo, SkarnSW, and Peter Thorne want to check the traps first. Matheus said: “The best play would be to go face with the acolyte, then if it’s Freezing Trap, drop Sylvanas Windrunner pass. If it’s Explosive Trap we see what we draw, if it’s Sludge Belcher or Harrison Jones we drop it, coin Armor Up, if not,
