Sanctuary Survey: What Do You Expect From BlizzCon?

by - 9 years ago

As the opening hours of BlizzCon 2014 draw ever nearer, the community has observed a palpable silence emanating from our favorite friends at Blizzard. One can only begin to conjecture at the slideshows, presentations, images, and the like that are being finalized and rehearsed right at this very moment. With all of the hype about to become realized next week, I wanted to take this moment to see what you all are actually wanting to come out of this year’s BlizzCon. When all is said and done and Metallica plays the last riff, what particular Diablo announcement will you be reeling from?

  • Are you looking forward to the opportunity to once again design a Legendary item?
  • Do you anticipate finally finding out when Season One will end?
  • Are you curious to know what’s in store for Season Two?
  • Perhaps you’re more into what new seasonal Legendaries may be previewed?
  • Or are you one of the hopefullest of the hopefuls that have their fingers crossed for an expansion announcement?

Whatever you’re thinking, I want to hear about it! Respond with a comment below, send a tweet to our official Twitter account at @BlizzPro, or get in touch with me personally at @sastewart111 or leviathan@blizzpro.com. Let’s get some speculation going before we no longer have the suspense available to kill us.

After they nerfed Shard of Hate to the ground, I doubt many in the community will want to contribute to this.

All I want to know is when will the next patch be out. The game still has tonnes of bugs.

But I got a feeling the Con will mostly be about the next WoW expansion.

I’m not so sure such a negative approach should be taken up for the upcoming stuff. I think people are always excited to contribute to the future of the game, so I imagine the Build-a-Legendary project to be popular. Shard of Hate wasn’t nerfed, if you recall. It was fixed because it was bugged.

And while there will likely be plenty of information about Warlords, it’s a foregone fact (it’s literally already on the schedule) that we will have at least two Diablo panels, so there being Warlords announcements doesn’t prevent them from talking about Diablo.

There was a long discussion about the SOH “fix” in the official forums.

Basically, the community was saying that the fix should have been based on the proc co-efficient of the skill being used or an internal proc rate rather than an internal cooldown AND proc co-efficient.
