Hearthstone Global Games Results Announced

by - 6 years ago

The votes have been tallied, and the teams announced; the Hearthstone Global Games have officially commenced!

Team USA ended up being Justsaiyen, Muzzy, TerrenceM, and Frozen. That team looks fierce! Personally, I’m glad TerrenceM made it through, but am in actual disbelief that Ant somehow did not. Oh well, the upside is that this may free Ant up to do other gigs.

Of course, lots of teams are stacked with top players, including a lot of well-known professionals. Just like last year, the Netherlands looks stacked, with Tyler, Mitsuhide, Thijs, and Theo. Taiwan has the former world champion, Tom60229 as its anchor. And the Danish team has both the well-known professional, Hoej, and his up-and-coming brother, NikolajHoej; they will have the advantage of easy team communication and a built-in mascot in their pet bird, Pidgey.

There are also a lot of players who we in the US might not be familiar with yet. Just like last year, the Global Games look to be a great chance to familiarize ourselves with some new faces in the scene.

Check the results page to see all the team rosters, and to see if your favorites made it in. Then let us know who you’re rooting for–and against–in the comments below.
