BP Ladder Optimizer #6: Silence Before the Kobold Invasion (Meta-Meta Report)

New Expansion Ahead

We all expect the new axpansion to be released next week. Therefore, we will pause the meta report for about 2-3 weeks until the new meta settled. Be sure to stay tuned on Twitter @BlizzPro.

Meta Thoughts

This week, there isn’t much of a shift in the meta regarding effectiveness. Taking into account, that the next expansion is around the corner, that is not too much of a surprise.

Yet, regarding decks played, Zoolock fell out of favor (or players got tired of it) despite it still being the best deck in the meta for laddering purposes. Midrange Hunter appears in its place being the third most played deck at the moment even though it is very vulnerable to Corpsetaker Rogue, a variation of Tempo Rogue with Corpsetaker as Taunt minion. You can also teck your own Tempo Rogue list with same Taunts like Saronite Chain Gang or Prince Taldaram to get a better matchup against Hunter if you face them a lot.

Speaking of Tempo Rogue, the archetype holds its place as second best ladder deck right behind Zoo. Both decks are still very close together, though. A bit behind, Big Druid gained some ground again and is this week’s number three ladder deck because of it shredding those pesky Razakus decks to pieces.

Deck Spotlight

For those that still want to try something new, Kelesteth Razakus Priest is one of the more innovative decks that actually works.  It is still one of the slower laddering decks, but slightly faster than regular Razakus versions and a more proactive. If you want to make a push at the end of the season both are too slow. Breakfast Priest is new also, but has not enough power to be recommended for serious laddering either.

The Infographic

I might some slight changes: pie charts are in the main infographic again. I would like your feedback if they are too small or ok. Thanks in advance for your time.

BIG Druid variations include exchanging one Innervate with Ysera (Twink’s) or both with Bright-Eyed Scout (Ombre’s).
