This morning, the official Hearthstone twitter account posted a two-and-a-half minute long video entitled “Hearthstone: Mulligans Episode 1 – Error 14.” In the video, a young professional is having issues with the company printer–that is, he is getting “Error 14”–and Uther and Gul’dan are there to help. Well, Uther is there to help; Gul’dan might be up to his Gul’dan-y ways.

The purpose of the video is a little bit unclear. The clip references Hearthstone’s “playful sprites” and Gul’dan’s concede comment, but never includes any logo page or invitation to “download and play for free” like a traditional commercial would have. It revolves around copying, which could tie in to the recently-announced deck copying feature, but the character struggles with the copier, so this does not appear to related to the game feature. In short, this does not appear to be a traditional advertisement–although, with some editing, it would likely have been more well received than the infamous “Guac Boi” spot.

Instead, all signs point to this as some sort of episodic comedy. The Blizzard announcement promises Jaina will show up at some point, and “Episode 1” implies there will be at least three episodes in the arch. I, for one, have had my interest piqued enough to watch the next couple.
