In the most unlikely way that a leak could happen, it turns out that voice actress Lani Minella earlier this month had updated the resume on her website to include Hearthstone: Lost Secrets of Un’goro. The characters she would be voicing are Golakka Crawler, Pteradactyl, Anklesaur, Hydra, and Brontosaurus.

If you have never heard of this Hearthstone expansion, don’t worry, it hasn’t been officially announced (or released) yet.

The updated resume was found and posted on Reddit and with Lani Minella’s history as a voice actor for Blizzard, this is about a legit of a leak as you’re going to find, as well as a major oops by the actress. Later today the entry from her resume was removed.

Further search shows that ungoro.com is currently parked on godaddy.com (which Blizzard uses for all of their website domains) and was purchased late last year for at least a couple thousand dollars. With that in mind, it seems fairly apparent that Blizzard would be ponying up that kind of money to buy a marketing domain and that is a bit much for someone to do just for a hoax.

With all of that said, this is about as legit of a leak as you will find short of Blizzard just outright confirming it. Keep in mind though, that it’s not official until something by Blizzard is announced and they could end up changing their course at anytime.

That does seem unlikely though as the next expansion should be launching in early April and the new standard rotation will take in effect. So it’s quite likely Blizzard will be making an official announcement of their new expansion in early March – much like they did with Old Gods last year.

This next expansion will be very heavily dinosaur/jungle themed from the looks of it. There are a lot of mystical large beasts that can be found in the crater as well as a lot of Titan magi-tech influence. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some comebacks of the mechs in this new expansion. We will probably be able to expect over 130 new cards in this upcoming expansion as well. It will be fun to see what new mechanics they bring with this set and the new season of standard.

When Lost Secrets of Un’goro is released, the standard cycle will remove Blackrock Mountain, The Grand Tournament, and League of Explorers from standard. So 208 cards will be removed from competitive and 130+ new ones will be added. It should be interesting to see how much the meta shifts without Reno Jackson in the fold.
