Blizzard Hands Out Invite for “Majestic, Marvelous, Magical Event”

by - 8 years ago

Last week I wrote a post about a supposed leak from a Chinese individual who predicted Morgl the Oracle correctly that the next Hearthstone adventure would be a WoW raid with 3 Chinese symbols. The 3 that were broken down to match that was Karazhan, Terrace of Endless Springs, and Ulduar. I had made an argument that a Pandaria expansion seemed possible since we still haven’t seen the datamined Halfhill card find it’s way in the game yet and I figured it might have something to do with the next expansion.

However, yesterday has changed my mind.

Yesterday, winners of the Fireside Gathering at the University of California, Irvine received a golden ticket. They received an invitation to an upcoming event with no date or time associated with it yet.

The invite says “You are cordially invited to a most majestic, marvelous, magical event, the likes of which have never been seen before! It is our most sincere hope that you’ll be able to join us!”

The invitation reads a lot like something Moroes from Karazhan would have handed out for his invitation to his grand and opulent party which included a grand dinner and three theater performances based on the Wizard of Oz, Romeo and Juliet, and Little Red Riding Hood. With promises to see Medivh (spoiler alert: you don’t get to see Medivh since he’s dead), the only downside to being invited to such an event is all of the guests are ghosts and undead, trapped forever due Medivh’s descent into madness.

Karazhan Tower is probably the most magical, marvelous, and majestic place in Azeroth – and if this invitation does come from the form of Moroes, the tower Steward – then it is likely he will be a major part in the expansion, guiding the players through the different events which they will have to overcome.

So yes, my opinion has definitely changed from a Pandaria themed expansion with Terrace of the Endless Springs to Karazhan based on this invitation. It just fits so much more.

I have no real experience with Chinese, but I expect four: “Da-ra-ra-nu” (I might be mixing it up with Japanese in which case I apologize)
