Earth Day is about a week away and Apple is running a promotion called “Apps for Earth” in which 100% of the proceeds from an application for that promotion will go toward the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Blizzard is participating in this promotion with Hearthstone. Starting today until April 24th, you can purchase Khadgar, a new mage hero, on your iOS device. This is exclusive to only be purchased on iOS but once you buy it, it’s available to play on any platform.

It should be noted, if you choose to purchase Khadgar right now, you won’t be able to log in on other platforms until they get patched as well. So it might be better to wait until that happens before making the purchase.

Patch Notes

• Khadgar is the latest hero to join the tavern fun; Once Medivh’s apprentice, now he’s renowned as one of the most powerful Mages in history!
  • From now until April 24 PDT, you’re able to purchase the Khadgar hero from the in-game Hearthstone shop. Not only will you get a new mage hero, you’ll also be doing your part to save the planet! WWF will receive 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of Khadgar #AppsforEarth.
  • Khadgar is only available to purchase on iOS devices, but once unlocked, he can be played on any device.
• The following card back has been added:
  • Clutch of Yogg-Saron — Acquired at the end of the month by reaching Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of April 2016.
• Paladin Deck Recipe has been updated.
• Alleria will no longer use Lady Liadrin’s entrance animation when starting a game.
• Fixed various audio, graphical, and UI issues.
