Every week the pros from team Fade2Karma break down the “Deck of the Week.” These decks are seeing a lot of play either in constructed ladder or tournaments. Team F2K explain the deck lists and how to play them. View past Deck Lists of the Week.

Greetings 2016! The New Year means new stuff: new clothes, new calendars, new planners, and new decks! Unlike some pro-players, like Xixo, who gun for a fast legend run during the start of the season, I spend the first few weeks to build and test new decks.

I was so excited when LoE was released because: a) we get new cards, b) shaman will matter again, c) I get to create fun competitive decks again.

We saw Shaman back in ladder in a form of a very aggressive deck. A lot of players also tried making midrange and overload versions as Tunnel Trogg was released, but no one seemed to make a viable Murloc Shaman deck. We did see Thijs’ OTK Murloc Paladin getting some success in ladder, and I hope my murloc list does as well. If Anyfin Can Happen, then Everyfin is Awesome. 🙂

This deck works like a zoo deck: it relies heavily on board control so you better get the good trades. Flooding the board comes easily with Murloc Tidehunter, Feral Spirits, Tuskar Totemic and Dr. Boom; you know that Gormok the Impaler and Sea Giant will get value at some point. The things you have to avoid are board clears. Make sure that you don’t go all-in once you get a strong board presence cos the only sticky minion is the Haunted Creeper.

You might find yourself losing steam at some point. Remember that you can trade-off your murlocs for a card using Siltfin Spiritwalker. Neptulon is also there so you can refill your hand with murlocs. You can also get Life Tap from Sir Finley Mrrgglton.

As for tech cards, if you want an Earth Shock or Hex, I suggest you use an Ironbeak Owl and Big Game Hunter cos they also give board presence for Everyfin is Awesome.

*Note: AWESOME v2.0 is the most recent list I’ve been using and it turned out great, used in ranks 5 and above. I just want to show you where we started when we built the deck.

Remember that board presence is really important when you play this deck. You’ll get the same feeling when you’re waiting for Savage Roar to finish your opponent. Get at least 3-4 minion value from Everyfin is Awesome and you’ll probably win the game. Best of luck to you!
