Alternate Artwork #8: We don’t like them pairs
by JR Cook - 8 years ago show comments
Alternate Artwork is back for its Eight week, and we have two more pictures for you to decipher. Last week SuperUAI quickly collected the first point for Tomb Spider, the second one was a bit of trial and error until Phillip Norton was able to snatch the three remaining points to claim the first spot on the Leaderboard. This week, we have a rather unique challenge. This challenge is going to be more than Epic, can you get this week points and etch your name into the Mythos of Alternate Artwork? I hope you can!
Last Week’s Answer
Last week we had The Curator, he’s a boss from the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Tier 4 Raid Karazhan. He was inside a glass display, just like he was on a Museum. For Challenge number 2, The Tomb Spider play on Tomb Raider was pretty straight forward.
Challenge 1
Challenge 2
Leaderboard
Philip Norton -10 pts.
Slims – 7 pts.
Falsalator – 4 pts.
Cestmoilla – 3 pts.
Nathan Scott – 2 pts.
Dobablo – 1 pt.
SuperUai – 1pt.
1) Confessor Paletress
2) Alexstrasza
1) Fjola Lightbane – This one is hard!
2) Flame Leviathan
Just posting my line of thought:
Clues: “More than epic” -> The card will be Legendary.
“we don’t like them pairs” -> The card will have a pair or a counterpart.
1) The lady is holding light, all white and stuff. So Lightbane was my choice because we have Darkbane as her counterpart.
2) That is a Leviathan in Flame AND we have Iron Juggernault as his counterpart.
I like the flame leviathan, I spent an hour looking through all the dragons and went with Alex as she was the red aspect. After last week’s puzzle where I had to crawl through the wow wiki looking for the curator’s picture by searching through all elementals and golems my brain is a little fried. For the first it looks like the Mother Confessor from the short lived Sword of Truth show so I went with Paletress, but I like your pairs idea. I just read that as only 1 of = Legendary.
Okay, almost 1 month away, is Dannie okay? What happened to him?
