Well Met! Podcast Episode 29: Fixing the World Championship

by - 9 years ago

Well Met! John, J. R., and Kevin each week discuss all things Hearthstone. Listen in as they talk strategies, competitive play, card and deck analysis and more! This podcast is produced in order to help other players up their game in Hearthstone while also having fun discussions about what is happening in the tournament scene and also in the game. Join us each week as we record every Sunday evening and release our audio podcast the following Monday!

In this week’s episode we discuss the purchase of AlphaDraft by FanDuels and what that and DraftKings might mean in the landscape of eSports betting fantasy leagues. Brian Kibler is hosting a $25,000 invitational tournament. The World Championship is shaping up as NA and EU are entering their regional tournaments.

We feel the World Championship is hard to follow and a bit of a mess. Kevin leads the discussion on what can happen to fix the story lines next year and help get some of these unknown players who will be playing at BlizzCon in front of people earlier to make it more exciting.

The Meta report is out on TempoStorm, LiquidHearth, and Fade2Karma. Not much has really changed as Patron Warrior is still dominating with Secrets Paladin.

Last but not least, we got an awesome Loot Crate that we opened that has some Hearthstone swag in it. If you’re interested in buying your own just visit http://lootcrate.com/Hearthstone and use the discount code HEARTHSTONE on checkout.

You can join us live every week now over on twitch.tv/blizzpro, which was made possible by the supporters who are so graciously donating to the show via our Patreon at patreon.com/wellmetpodcast. You can also buy our awesome Well Met shirts at http://store.blizzpro.com.

Also, our intro music is awesome and so is the guy who made it! Check him out at jakebutineau.ca.

Keep in touch! We answer reader emails every week (wellmet@blizzpro.com), stay active on Twitter (@WellMetPodcast, or individually @eldorian, @kickedtripod, and @lackofrealism), and love getting your iTunes reviews.
