Fade2Karma Meta Snap Shot: The End of BRM

by - 9 years ago

Introduction

Fade2Karma is a new professional eSports Hearthstone team that was formed recently. It consists of top players like Hawkeye and Dethelor. (Gosugamers announcement here, F2K’s Twitter and LiquidHearth‘s announcement here.)

The F2K Meta Report focuses on the class/deck representation in the European Legend Ladder on a biweekly basis. Hundreds of ladder games played by our players allow us to determine which are the most popular decks on ladder and which decks have fallen out of favor by most.

With the meta going to be completely new now that The Grand Tournament is released, we felt it was necessary to take a snap shot of where the meta was in the final week leading up to The Grand Tournament. It’s always good to know where we’ve been so we can learn from it and see where we’re going. Finally, the Fade2Karma players put together their own predictions on what class is going to be the most powerful in The Grand Tournament.

Analysis

Warlock is still the King of the ladder even though its representation in the meta decreased by 3% this week.

Warrior and Hunter still see the same amount of play, but managed to overtake Mage which dropped by 3%.

Interestingly enough Mech Mage is the most played Mage archetype this week.

The recent removal of the secret package and addition of Fel Reavers make Mech Mage a better choice than Tempo Mage in the current meta .

Midrange Paladin (from 35% to 62%) exchanges archetype ranks with Aggro Paladin (from 59% to 36%) mostly because we saw an increase of Combo Druid on ladder (+2%).

The rise of Mech Mage, Midrange Paladin and Combo Druid, contributed to the fact that Circle Priest is the most common Priest archetype this week. Less aggro means less Deathlord Priest.

In the bottom of our ranking Shaman manages to move up a rank because Mech Shaman gained popularity after seeing no play last time.

Even though Rogue saw more play this week, it secures the last place in our ranking.

Conclusion

Demon Zoo is still by far the most popular ladder deck followed by Patron Warrior, Midrange Hunter, Mech Mage, Midrange Paladin and Combo Druid.

Since this is our last report before TGT release, we would like to make a prediction on what the meta looks like in 2 weeks time:
