Amaz Beats Zalae, wins Geico Brawl #2: Clash of the Keywords

The Geico Brawl returned this weekend, and it brought us a new crazy set of rules. Much like Challengestone, the Geico brawl shakes up the tournament scene by adding a special set of rules that constrain deck building.
For this second edition of the Geico Brawl, the players were tasked to create decks that only included minions that shared a specific Keyword like Taunt, Battlecry, or Deathrattle.
The Rules
Rule 1: All minions must contain the same keyword. Different keywords must be used for each deck. The minion must have the keyworded ability to qualify. All spells are fair game. Minion type — Dragon/Beast/Mech — does not count as a keyword.
You must build three decks with different heroes in fifteen minutes or less.
Card Examples:
- Azure Drake: Qualifies for both Spell Power and Battlecry.
- Savannah Highmane: Qualifies for Deathrattle but Beast does not qualify.
- The Black Knight: Qualifies for Battlecry but not Taunt.
- Archmage Antonidas: Qualifies for no decks due to lack of keywords.
- Druid of the Claw: Qualifies for both Charge and Taunt but can only be used in the appropriate mode.
- Undertaker: Does not qualify for Deathrattle.
- Southsea Deckhand: Does not qualify for having Charge.
- Weapons are allowed as long as keywords don’t conflict: no Death’s Bite in the Charge deck.
Rule 2: Your deck must also include Nozdormu. If not, the most expensive minion will be replaced with Nozdormu.
Besides having these special deck building rules, the tournament ran in the usual best of 5 conquest format, with a best of 7 finals.
Day one of the tournament saw Archon Zalae make quick work of Sjow, and then defeat Eloise to make his way into the finals.
Day two of the event had some issues, as Cloud9’s Strifecro missed the event due to a timezone conversion mishap.
@Archon_Firebat I messed up the timezone conversion 🙁

This unfortunate incident awarded Amaz a free pass to the semifinals, where he went through Kaldi and joined his Archon teammate in the finals.
The finals proved very exciting, with some great plays for both players. In the end, Amaz was able to take game number 7 in a Divine Shield Mirror. You can rewatch the tournament on the Past Broadcasts section of the One Nation of Gamers Twitch Channel.
