Brazilian Website Reveals another card for Beast Druid

Brazilian website Techtudo has revealed another The Grand Tournament card, and it is the Druid of the Saber. Beast Druid continues to get tools as this new minion will transform into either a 2/1 Charge, or a 3/2 Stealth.

I’m not sure on the actual wording for the English version, as “Choose one + Transform” cards haven’t always been the most consistent in terms of text. The above translation is mostly a literal translation from the Portuguese version.

In any scenario, this is a card I’d love to tinker with as I’ve always been very fond of the Feral Druid concept. This also has a lot of flexibility to be used as removal, early board presence, or even as a part of a finishing combo.  Druid of the Claw + Druid of the Saber + Savage Roar can do 12 from the hand, adding to the usual Force + Savage finishers.

The Grand Tournament just can’t come soon enough.

    Totally agree with your assessment. It really seems like the bulk of the cards that Blizzard handed out for sites and streamers to reveal are early-game cards to diversify the first few turns. Whether that bears an impact in Ranked is one thing, but I think we’ll really see the impact in Arena.

    Typically I can see how your math comes about, but for the life of me I can’t see how Druid of the Claw + Druid of the Saber + Savage Roar comes to 14 damage. I keep coming up with DoC (4 + 2), DoS (2 + 2), Hero (0 + 2) for a total of 12. Did I miss something?

      Nope, you didn’t miss anything. I actually counted incorrectly, and I thought I had already corrected that. I guess not, thanks for the heads up.
