New Patch Adds TGT Pre-Purchase, Darkspear Cardbacks

by - 9 years ago

A new patch is in progress, and here’s what’s coming live today.

  • The July Ranked Play cardback, showcasing the Darkspear trolls.
  • The exclusive pre-purchase cardback for The Grand Tournament.
  • …and various bugfixes for mobile versions of the game.

All in all, the most exciting thing is the addition of the ability to pre-purchase the expansion along with a boatload of packs. As a new business model for selling expansions, hopefully it gets more resources into Team 5’s coffers so they can continue upping the ante on creating content for the game.

Check out the patch notes and prep your wallet for the Grand Tournament pre-purchase!

In this Hearthstone patch, we’ve added the ability to pre-purchase a discounted bundle of 50 The Grand Tournament card packs, which includes a triumphant new card back as a bonus! We’ve also added the Darkspear card back and fixed a few bugs.

The full patch notes are below!

    • Starting now you can pre-purchase “The Grand Tournament” 50 card pack bundle from the in-game shop and unlock a special card back. The Grand Tournament packs can be opened in August when the expansion releases but the card back is available immediately!
