It has been known for a while that a Team-based League was on the works from Team Archon. The wait is over, as the league has now been officially announced.

On it, Eight Teams of 3 members each will go through a Round Robin Qualifying Phase. The Top Two Ranked teams will go straight to the live finale. While the two remaining spots will be contested in a Satellite Round. This Round will see the 3rd, 4th, and 5th ranked teams, along with the winner of the Redemption Round (6th vs 7th), fight off for a chance to keep their dreams alive and move on to the 4-team live finale.

Thus far, it’s been revealed that Archon, Cloud 9, Nihilum, Team Liquid, Team Celestial, and Tempo Storm will be sending teams to the tournament. Forsen will also be a part of the tournament, leading his own team. Gaara, Firebat, Savjz, Dog, Neirea, Kolento, Lifecoach, and RDU have been featured in some of the promotional material for the league, while Strifecro and Sjow have also been linked to the tournament by different sources. The complete roster of participants will be announced on Thursday.
