New Hearthstone Heroes are Coming!

by - 9 years ago

After yesterday’s teaser about new heroes being added to Hearthstone, Community Manager Zeriyah revealed the first of the new heroes arriving at the inn soon.

The first new addition to the game will be the Warrior King of Ironforge: Magni Bronzebeard. Along with new portrait artwork for the hero, the additions will include new animations for the individual’s hero power, new emotes unique to the hero, a custom play area, and a new card back which can be used with any deck.

Magni will be purchasable from the Hearthstone store for $9.99US. Purchasing this hero will not add new cards to your collection or change the associated class Hero Power. Heroes purchased from the store are automatically Gold cards and do not require 500 wins like the original heroes.

For more information check out the full post below, and let us know what you think about these new heroes in the comments!

We aren’t happy about it all on Hearthstone Champion. Way too expensive for what they are. http://hearthstonechampion.com/2015/06/new-hearthstone-heroes-on-the-way-our-thoughts/

Hearthstone champion may not reach the high (but wasted} standards of professional presentation reached by this site; but its ambition and ideology, its what this site should be

Unless otherwise stated (as was included in the disclaimer) announcement articles will be objective in nature. I took the opportunity to write an op-ed piece. I think that there are bigger priorities that need to be addressed before something like this is launched.

i read your site, hearthstone champion. you need to expand the articles out. but the choice of topic, for example the “tech card” segment; was spot on. it looked like it was written by people who play the game. and plenty for beginners also.

  2. Mark Davis says:

Wish you could buy them with gold too.

    • Drew Cordell says:

I wouldn’t have a problem with it if they could be purchased with gold. I just feel like there are more important things to address than vanity times right now.

  3. Dannie Ray says:

Personally I think this is perfect, the only negative I find to this is that it didn’t come sooner.

  4. Art White-Stagg says:

So this is aesthetics only? What a waste. I was kinda hoping for something to shake the the game up and this is not it. For that price, I’d rather buy some packs and get a handjob from a crack addict.

According to a high ranking Blizzard partner in China, the hero skins might not be the main content of the upcoming patch: http://hearthstonechampion.com/2015/06/hearthstone-hero-skins-might-not-be-the-main-content-of-upcoming-patch/ Let’s hope that we get some awesome new content in addition to just cosmetic items.
