Earlier this month we started up this little Patreon campaign with the idea that we’d really like to just get rid of our ads. Right now they help keep the site up but honestly, they’re a pain to you guys and a pain to us. Sure, you can use adblock, but then eventually we can’t end up paying the bills to keep the site running and we shut down. Considering over 60% of our readers use adblock and it’s increasing each month, it gets a little harder and harder to keep things going.

We’re not a site that is run by paid staff. We’re just a bunch of passionate fans who do this for basically free. With your help each month we can afford to keep things going and also be able to pay our writers here and there as well.

Each month our BlizzPro team gets together and have a fun little game night. We actually haven’t had one in a few months due to business of the holidays and all that, so this month we’re bringing it back and we’re going to run a Hearthstone tournament for our internal team. As a nod to our Patron’s who donate $5+/month we’re inviting you to our game night to participate with us.

The Hearthstone tournament we’re doing this week is pretty simple. You have to use ALL basic cards (the free ones you get) and you are allowed just 1 Legendary card in the deck. So 29 basics and one legendary. The legendary can be from the original set, Curse of Naxxramas, or Goblins vs. Gnomes. We think this will be an interesting way to construct decks and see what people can come up with.

The tournament will take place this upcoming Saturday and if you want to come play with us, please head over to our Patreon page and donate at least $5/month before Saturday to be included. More details of the contest will be available there for those Patrons.
