Hearthstone was announced at PAX East in 2013.
Curse of Naxxramas, the first adventure mode and card expansion for Hearthstone was announced at PAX East in 2014.
We figured PAX East 2015 would be no different in big announcements and it appears we won’t be incorrect in that. At 10:30 AM Friday March 6 at PAX East will be a Blizzard panel. This panel will showcase new details for Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch. The full panel details can be found here:

So what can we probably expect to see at PAX East for Hearthstone? We’ll probably get a demonstration of how Hearthstone will look on phones. In my interview I had with the Hearthstone team last year before BlizzCon, Lead Artist Ben Thompson mentioned that he was working on the UI for phones. I asked him if the UI would be much different for phones because of the smaller screen and his answer was he was hoping to make it as close as possible so that you couldn’t tell the difference. Now that Hearthstone has been out for tablets for both Apple and Android it’s quite plausible we will be seeing the phone versions for Hearthstone at PAX East.
However, that won’t be the big announcement. The big announcement will more than likely be another card expansion, possibly a new adventure mode like Curse of Naxxramas was. Another possibility is a new play mode. Some of the popular community requests have been co-op play, arena tournaments, or some kind of in game tournament system. It’s possible we might hear about one of these.
So what do you think is going to be the big announcement this year at PAX East? Let us know in the comments!
