Incoming Card Backs!

Blizzard put out their most recent patch and it had some fairly surprising updates!  The card backs we’ve all been waiting for are now installed and ready to be unlocked.

The first card back in this patch is the pumpkin back for reaching rank 20 or better this season.  This card preview was released when the month/new season first launched and we’ve all been waiting to get it!

The next card back is the Blizzcon back.  You can get this nifty fella from purchasing the virtual ticket or obviously attending Blizzcon in Anaheim next week!

The third card back comes from the World of Warcraft Collectors Edition purchase.  I believe that although the card back is being pre-loaded onto your system, it won’t actually be activated until Warlords of Draenor actually launches.

Last but not least, they’ve already announced the card back for next season!  Usually these kinds of things don’t show up in the news until the ladder has reset on all NA and EU servers and the games are underway.  This season they are giving us a brilliant “Goblin” themed card back.  It totally fits the “Goblin Engineering” theme as it displays some pipes, a timer and a fuse.  I guess I have this question to pose:  After next week, which card back are you using?

There were also some minor bug fixes to the iPad version regarding the search field and an issue with login sessions in China.

General

  • The following card backs have been added to Hearthstone:
    • Hallow’s End Card Back – Acquired by reaching Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of October.
    • Blizzard 2014 Card Back – Acquired by attending BlizzCon 2014 or by purchasing a BlizzCon 2014 Virtual Ticket.
    • Warlords Card Back – Acquired by purchasing the collector’s edition or digital deluxe edition of World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor.
    • Goblins Card Back – Acquired by reaching Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of November.

Bug Fixes

  • [iPad] The search field is now properly shown at the top of the screen when the keyboard is present in the Collection Manager.
  • [iPad] (China only) Login sessions are now preserved when switching between wi-fi points.

    Definitely going to rock the pumpkin. Been using pirates all month. They need a random card back option because I like them all. Also I think the heroic Naxx was subpar for what you had to do to get it. It came at a time where the Icecrown back was right around the corner and looked better to begin with, so the Naxx one didn’t live up to its full potential.
