Having officially launched in 2014, Hearthstone was eligible for consideration in a handful of categories at the 2014 Golden Joystick Awards. Voted on by the general public, the Golden Joystick Awards drew over nine million votes this year.

As we reported in early September, Hearthstone was nominated in five categories:

  • Best Visual Design
  • Best Online Game
  • Best Mobile Game
  • Studio of the Year: Blizzard
  • Game of the Year

Hearthstone nabbed two prestigious awards this year:

  • Best Online Game
  • Best Mobile Game

It was also the runner up for Game of the Year, narrowly edged out by Dark Souls II. Hearthstone joined Assassin’s Creed IV and The Last Of Us as the titles with the most awards this year, at two apiece.

You can read the complete winner’s list over at CVG, or check out some tweets and photos from the event on Mirror.

Did you vote for the awards? Thoughts on the winners? Let us know in the comments.
