Starving Buzzard and Leeroy Jenkins – Bug or Incoming Nerf?
by JR Cook - 10 years ago show comments
Have you been affected by the 5 cost Starving Buzzard that is now a 3/2 creature instead of a 2/1? How about a 5 mana Leeroy Jenkins?
We’ve been seeing and hearing reports that many players today (after a recent battle.net maintenance) are having some issues with these cards. This makes us wonder if possibly an unfinished build made it’s way into production during maintenance or not. If so, this could be showing us incoming nerfs on both of these cards which would make sense.
You can see the Reddit thread about this here along with the pictures below.
What are your thoughts – bug, hoax, or incoming nerf tomorrow/next week? I’ll be honest, I’m leaning toward incoming nerf.
I know many might be pissed at these changes, but I feel as this would right moves for the game’s health.
5 cost for Leeroy is fine. Seems extreme on the Buzzard though, even with the boosted stats.
The buzzard nerf would be way too much however. I’m fine with the 5 mana leeroy to stop miracle rogue but the buzzard nerfs hunter to the ground making their only decent card draw engine a turn 8 play instead of turn 5.
the 5 mana leeroy would destroy a already pretty weak deck. mc rouge is not as good as it used to be. the buzzard nerf is resonable. and it would be 5 mana for 6 dmg. making leeroy a super weak card. this nerf can be compared to the tinkmaster nerf.
It kills any form of aggro in hunter however. It makes it so that it is neigh impossible to refill your hand after dumping it .
I think they could take the edge off the Buzzard Nerf by going 2/3 instead of 3/2 just to give it more chance of surviving if you play it turn before UTH. Would at least put it out of range of Nova,Consecration, Smite etc and you could hide it behind a taunt for a turn.
just nerf it already….
With buzzard, it seems they are testing if this is too far.
