Fireside Chat: Saving Gold for Naxxramas

Curse of Naxxramas was announced roughly 2 months ago and now with only two more class cards to be revealed, and summer nearly upon us, it’s pretty safe to say that we don’t have much longer to wait before we have some much needed new content. While we’ve been privy to many of the upcoming cards to be obtained, we still do not have a clear picture of the pricing structure for each wing. How much gold will we need? What will it cost us to use real money to unlock a wing? There are still so many questions to be answered between now and that fateful release day!
Well, here’s one more question for you! Have you been saving for Naxxramas and if so, how much gold do you have saved up? I’ll start! I’ve been saving for about a month now and I currently have around 1300 gold. I’ve been able to stop myself from spending my gold on card packs but I still love to buy arena runs. I hope that Naxxramas is released soon though, this gold is burning a hole in my virtual pocket!!

Well, doing the same! I have 1800 gold now, and i guess i’ll need at least twice that. It actually cuts into the time i spend in Hearthstone: No Arena.. With 5 to 6 wins average in Arena i can’t afford playing 🙁
Oh boy, if we need 3600g I’m in trouble! I’ll never have enough saved in time!
I’ve got a little under 2000 gold saved up currently. I’m hoping that each wing will only cost 500. It’s going to be interesting to see how they balance earning revenue off of it versus allowing those “hardcore, spend nothing” types to also gain access.
I focused on climbing the ladder for most of May with a little bit of gold saved up and ended up reaching 4600 gold. Took a break from constructed to play some arena. Started about 2 weeks ago with the same 4600 gold. Still sitting at 4600 gold but have 27 unopened packs waiting to be cracked open. Going to see where I sit after I get to the 40 pack mark. I figured that 4000 should be close to enough but if the cash cost is a better bargain than the gold I will probably just pony up the cash instead.
As soon as I hit 100 gold, I buy a pack. Needless to say, I never have any gold. Depending on pricing for Naxx, I don’t feel like paying more than $5 per wing.
I used to be really disciplined about saving gold for the arena, but lately it’s like, get 100 gold, open pack.
i have about 1500 saved up, if need be i can always grind it out.
I’m sitting at 5600, all from daily quests and grinding wins for the last 3 months. I quit on arena once I heard about the expansion, too many runs where I only got to 2-4 wins.
Startled by the chinese “leak” I am currently sitting at 5000g. Everything beyond that goes to arena entries. I am confident, that 5000 should be enough for Naxx.
My collection is still missing a lot of key cards so I can’t afford saving gold for expansion. Decided to just spend real money to unlock Naxx wings. Besides I heard one of them is free anyway
