Fireside Chat: What have you been up to lately?

by - 10 years ago

What a month for Hearthstone it has been! We’ve seen the first official Ranked Play season commence. Legend rank card backs are popping up faster than a whack-a-mole. The iPad version is officially released worldwide. Curse of Naxxramas Adventure mode was revealed at PAX East. It seems like there has never been a better time to be a Hearthstone addict!

With all of the new rewards and gameplay options on the horizon, I find myself less concerned with reaching Legend rank and focusing more on finding fun, less grindy ways to enjoy my gaming experience. For the last few weeks, I’ve created a Free to Play (F2P) account and I’ve been climbing the ladder using a F2P Priest deck. Funny enough, this deck is now at the same rank (Rank 10) as my legendary stacked main account and I didn’t have the benefit of bonus stars at the start of this season. I’m enjoying the experience of building my collection again and testing my playing skills. There’s a certain sweet satisfaction to beating a Handlock or Control Warrior with a F2P Priest deck that is mostly basic and common cards!

So, what have you guys been up to lately? Are you still grinding out the constructed ladder? Have you given F2P a try? Focusing on Arena only to build your collection and improve your skills? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter – @BlizzPro or @HearthProShow.

I’m sitting at rank five, trying to make time to grind out those last ranks, but suddenly busy with work. 🙁

To be honest, I have actually started to find a new love for the game with the iPad version and have been enjoying a spare game here and there. I’m really just biding my time theorycrafting the rest of the Naxxramas set possibilities until it’s finally here.
