Tournament Watch: Hearthstone Returns to ESGN’s Fight Night

by - 10 years ago

Coming at you tomorrow, March 24, 2014, Hearthstone is scheduled to return to ESGN’s Fight Night series! Clear some space on your calendar for the next two weeks, as every afternoon/evening (depending on where you live), the folks over at ESGN will be bringing you “live” coverage of a heated battle between Team Dogehouse and Team ManaGrind, with cash prizes of over $14,000 on the line. This will be the fifth season of the show, so veterans should know what to expect by now. If you’ve never caught an episode or a season before, I definitely recommend checking in as the production is beautiful and the commentary/analysis is of the top notch variety.

Read on for a press release from ESGN regarding all of the details you need to know:

The web-based eSports channel ESGNTV has today announced the fifth season of Fight Night – HearthStone Edition, dedicated exclusively to the recently published title from Blizzard Entertainment. One of the ten new episodes can be seen on ESGNTV every weekday at 9:30 p.m. CET / 1:30 p.m. PDT / 4:30 p.m. EDT from this coming Monday, March 24th, 2014. A trailer has been released granting a preview of the exciting matches for fame and glory as well as the stately top cash prize of over $14,000.

The Fight Night-seasoned Team DogeHouse sends scene stars Janne “Savjz” Mikkonen, Max “Nyhx” Siebel, Jan “Ek0p” Palys and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski into the thrilling one-on-one battles. For the first time in the show is Team ManaGrind, bringing together popular players Johan “Darkwonyx” Hansson, Keaton “Chakki” Gill, Ryan “Realz” Masterson and Sebastian “Forsen” Fors. The familiar anchorman Dan “Frodan” Chou is joined on the program by caster Octavian “Kripparrian” Morosan and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski, who will also provide commentary on the gaming action.

The first match on Monday will be contested between Sweden’s Sebastian “Forsen” Fors and German player Jan “Ek0p” Palys.

Prior to Fight Night, ESGNTV host Dan “Frodan” Chou will present a roundup of the latest events in eSports and online gaming in the ESGNTVDaily News at 9:00 p.m. CET / 1:00 p.m. PDT / 4:00 p.m. EDT.

ESGNTV’s Daily News and the Fight Night show air at the same time every day of the week. Fans can look forward to content in professional TV production quality and the most famous representatives of the eSports scene.

All previous episodes of Fight Night are rerun on a regular basis and are also available on demand on esgntv.com as well as on the ESGNTVYouTube channel following their first rerun.

Don’t fret if you can’t catch this at its designated “live” stream time. ESGN is good about showing several rebroadcasts throughout the night and also putting up each episode as a VOD to be viewed later at your own convenience. Something to also keep in mind is that, in order to achieve the production that they do, these episodes were taped weeks ago, so some of the decks and cards in play may not actually be part of the meta anymore and could even have been changed due to recent patches occurring after the filming.
