BlizzPro Partners With Don’t Kick My Robot

by - 10 years ago

When it comes to managing a fansite, it can be very difficult to cover all aspects of a title as thoroughly as we would like to. The reality is that we have finite resources and building out a quality team takes a lot of time and effort. While I am very much proud of all that we’ve accomplished as a group, I’ve personally felt that our coverage of high tier play and the competitive scene has been lacking of late.

That said, I’m incredibly pleased to announce BlizzPro’s official partnership with the constructed Hearthstone team Don’t Kick My Robot. DKMR is a team comprised of players ranked at, or very close to legendary. These guys eat, sleep and breathe constructed Hearthstone. They stream, they test decks, they not only understand the competitive meta, they help shape it, and now we’ll be able to share their wealth of knowledge and understanding of the game at the highest levels with you. Beginning on the 21st, expect to see custom deck lists on our site every Friday. These deck lists will be designed and tested extensively by the DKMR team and will not be available anywhere else.

Mentioned earlier, DKMR streams Hearthstone, and they’re doing it constantly. These streams are a great way for you to improve your handle on Hearthstone, as well as be entertained. BlizzPro will soon feature a schedule on the front page of the site letting you know which streamers are active, and when. DKMR has made it their mission to constantly have different members of their team streaming, ensuring that you’ll frequently have one of their high tier players to watch at any given point in your day.

There will be more information available in the coming days about our partnership with this top notch Hearthstone group, but for now, definitely check out both DKMR’s site and their Twitter account. If you want to reach them to discuss individual streams, deck strategies or just Hearthstone in general, pop on over to their official forums. DKMR’s always down to talk shop.

This move, along with others to be revealed in the coming days is all part of BlizzPro’s vision as a site to become a more inclusive, complete entity, offering readers top notch content about the game, the community, high level play and more much.

This all sounds very interesting and I am interested in constructed Hearthstone to the level of that is possible with a full time job and a girlfriend. How do you guys keep this awesome site and DKMR running? Is there a financial side to this or is it just alot of spare time spent?

BlizzPro is a completely fan run site by volunteers. It’s really just a lot of time spent doing things we enjoy.

I help run the network and I have a full time job and a wife. It’s just all about time management and help from a good group of people to make it work.

DKMR right now is funded by the founder “me” but we hope to drum up funds from tournaments and sponsors to pay for the site and other fun stuff. I am married and it is a lot of juggling 🙂
