We’ve yet to see the Hearthstone Fireside Chat, but we already have a lot of news to report on.

The Virtual Ticket/BlizzCon attendee card has been revealed to be the Elite Tauren Chieftan, a 5/5 for 5 that gives both players the POWER TO ROCK via a ‘Power Chord card’. We’ll have video of that up later this afternoon. Here is a video:

Also announced, ranked play mode will now unlock golden versions of Hearthstone heroes. Thus far, there’s been nothing to suggest they’re stronger than their normal counterparts, and it would be surprising if they were. This announcement finally gives players a reason to participate in ranked play, aside from personal pride.

Finally, and possibly the biggest announcement, Hearthstone will be available on the iPhone and Android smart phones sometime in the second half of next year. This is an absolutely unexpected development, given that the common consensus was that phones would be too small for Hearthstone to be played on.
