Welcome to BlizzPro’s Hearthstone Fansite!

Welcome to BlizzPro’s newest project!

When we created BlizzPro.com a couple months ago one of the ideas we wanted to go with was expanding it out to a network of sites. BlizzPro is really more for the general and casual Blizzard Entertainment fan who wants to hear what’s going on in each game, the licensed products, events like BlizzCon, PAX, and the various Comic Cons, and just everything about Blizzard Entertainment. Unfortunately, because of that we don’t really break games down to the nitty gritty details and give you things like strategies and guides for those games. The audience for BlizzPro.com is really more about the overall news and not so much the details of the games themselves.

Now, I know there are several fans like me who love all the Blizzard titles, but there are people out there who may only care about one title or just a couple different titles and really don’t care to see updates about the other Blizzard games. We decided to start paying more attention to that audience and also the audience who really wants to dive deep into strategy and learn everything about a game that they can.

So because of that we have launched our first game site and what better game to start with than Blizzard’s newest title releasing soon – Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft!

We have a dedicated staff whose job will solely be creating Hearthstone content – whether it’s news, guides, card strategies, or even a card database in the near future – we hope to make hearthstone.blizzpro.com your one stop shop for everything Hearthstone related.

As of right now we’re going to start out with news and previews – and soon we’re going to branch out to more things.

HearthPro Podcast

In fact, starting this weekend we’ll have our new episode of our Hearthstone Podcast that we’re calling HearthPro. HearthPro will be hosted by Rongar of hearthstonecast.com fame and co-hosted by our very own Managing Editor of BlizzPro’s Hearthstone site, ZenStyle. These 2 guys had already teamed up last week in a test run of episode 8 of HearthstoneCast so you can get a decent idea of how the show will work out. The show will also be available on iTunes and Stictcher Radio for you to subscribe to if you wish or you can follow our RSS feeds which you can find the links for on the right side bar.

Forums and Video

In the very near future we have a new forum planned for people to start talking about card strategies and drafting strategies in the newly announced Arena. In addition we will be making some more video content detailing different hero decks and possible strategies there. Once the beta hits, expect many videos showing game play and strategies as well.

Card Database

We also have a card database in the works that we’re hoping to release on the site soon as well that will include ways for people to create and save decks and their deck lists, so when they get in the game they have their decks to reference that they were able to theory craft on the site.

Special Thanks

I also wanted to take this time to thank our very talented staff. We’re currently up to 19 staff members on the BlizzPro network and each one has been working their butts off either making incredible content or working behind the scenes to make sure everything is working properly. Specifically I wish to thank Heino and Chris Brand. These 2 brothers have worked like mad men on designing the site and working on several performance initiatives for it. You might have seen their recent work with Micky Neilson’s website – and both of these guys do incredible things and we’re lucky they’re part of the BlizzPro team. Our server admin/code monkey Mith has been invaluable in this process and he’s been working tirelessly on several projects. Of course I want to thank ZenStyle for doing some amazing work with his Hearthstone Preview articles he’s been working on and I know he has some great content coming down the road for this site. Last but not least I’d like to thank Rongar for joining the BlizzPro team and I’m very excited to see what he brings to the new podcast.

We’re extremely excited for this new addition to the BlizzPro network and it’s just the beginning. We have more projects planned and in the works and we’ll eventually be releasing game sites for each Blizzard Entertainment game in the near future. Our hope is that BlizzPro will be the one network you can count on to find everything you’ll ever want to know about Blizzard Entertainment games.
